This insurance is paid together with the air-ticket thus the insurance premium invoice is prepared together with the itinerary of the E-air-ticket.
The Sum of premium is stated on the item " Premium" on the itinerary of the E-air-ticket.

E-travel insurance is underwritten by Pingan Property Insurance Co., Ltd and Taiping Life Insurance Co., Ltd.

How to buy E-Travel Insurance?

You can buy E-Travel Insurance while booking ticket via the portal site of China Southern Airlines:www.csair.com.

Is there any age limit on buying E-Travel Insurance?

Yes. The insured persons shall be passengers of China Southern Airlines aged between 14 days to 90 years old.

Do I have to designate a beneficiary in my policy?

If you do not designate a beneficiary in your policy when purchasing the insurance, death benefit will be paid to your heir. Other benefits except the death benefit will be paid directly to you/the insured person.

Can I cancel my E-travel insurance? How?

Yes, you can. Insurance premium will be refunded once you cancel your air ticket. You can call 40066-95539 to find out the refunding process. Electronic counter of CSA does not handle insurance cancellation procedures.
If you need to cancel your insurance without cancelling your plane ticket, please do it the following way:
Please fill in the application form for cancelling travel insurance (Download PDF version of PICC/EXCEL version of PICC) (Download EXCEL version of TLIC), and then fax or email the form according to instructions. The premium will be refunded to your payment account 3-10 days after the flight takes off upon approval.

Will my E-Travel Insurance remain valid if I change my flight?

In the event of a voluntary or involuntary flight change, your E-Travel Insurance will remain valid as long as the actual carrier is still China Southern Airlines; otherwise your E-Travel Insurance will become invalid for the new flight and you need to call China Southern Airlines' Web Service Hotline 40066-95539 to cancel the E-Travel Insurance according to relevant rules. The E-Business Service Counter of China Southern Airlines does not accept application for insurance cancellation.

How to claim compensation for flight delay?

You need to submit the Flight Delay certificate issued by China Southern Airlines, which covers the flight number, flight date, the time length of delay and the reasons for delay. Or you could ask China Southern Airlines to indicate the arrival time of your flight on your boarding pass with its seal stamped.

What kind of documentation do I need to claim compensation for Loss of Personal Air Consigned Luggage?

You need to submit the following claim materials:
1. Written certificate on destruction of, loss of or damage to consigned luggage and relevant compensation certificate issued by the airline.
2. The completed Claim Form and other certificates and documents related to the claim required by Ping An Insurance.

What kind of documentation do I need to claim compensation for baggage delay?

You need to submit the Baggage Delay certificate issued by China Southern Airlines, which covers the flight number, the flight date and the time length of baggage delay.

How to claim compensation for loss of personal effects?

You are required to submit the following documents:
1.List of damaged or lost property, purchasing invoice for the loss of item whose price exceeds RMB1000;
2.Original bill for obtaining a new travel document;
3.Written proof of loss stating the fact by local police authority for the theft or plunder case;
4.The completed Claim Form and other certificates and documents related to the claim required by Ping An Insurance.

How to claim compensation for hijack?

You are required to submit the following documents:
1. Original written documents issued by the local police, the carrier or related authorities;
2. The completed Claim Form and other certificates and documents related to the claim as required by the company.

How to file a claim for insurance benefits?

In general, you can fill in the insurance claim application form( click here to download Ping An Insurance) call the number on the upper side of the application form to contact the AIU/Ping An Insurance for the claim issues.

How long does it take to process my claim?

Your claim will be processed after the insurance company receives your claim documents. If any clarifications or follow-up is needed, the claims representative of insurance company will contact you within 10 days.

How to pursue a claim?

If you have bought insurance from PICC, please fill in the application form (download). Later, you can call the insurance company for settlement of claims at a given phone number on top of the form.
If you have bought insurance from Taiping Life Insurance Co., Ltd, you can pursue a claim at http://apply.htlp-serv.com:8088/huatai/action/airDelay. Call 95589 if you have any doubts. Please report cases to 95589 if you seek accidents or disability insurances. Call 400-6266-110 for other claims.
