Due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, China Southern Airlines reminds passengers to take precautions before departure and during the trip. N95 masks should be worn throughout the flight, and personal protection should be strictly enforced.

1. Regarding the entry notice issued by the National Immigration Administration (Updated on September 23, 2020)

Since 0:00 on September 28, 2020, foreigners with valid Chinese residence permits for work, personal affairs, and reunion will be allowed to enter, and relevant personnel does not need to apply for a new visa. Suppose the three types mentioned above of residence permits held by foreigners expire after 0:00 on March 28, 2020. In that case, the holder can apply to the Chinese embassy abroad with the expired residence permit and relevant materials, provided the reasons for coming to China remain unchanged. Then, apply for a corresponding visa to enter the country. The personnel mentioned above must strictly abide by China's epidemic prevention management regulations.

4. Quarantine requirements for passengers arriving in China

5. U.S. entry requirements (Updated on June 12, 2022)

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that arrivals no longer have to show a negative COVID-19 test result or proof of recovery to enter the country, but it is recommended that passengers boarding a flight to the U.S. get tested for current infection with a viral test as close to the time of departure as possible (no more than 3 days) and not travel if they are sick.
