Citizens of 54 countries and regions in Europe, America, Oceania, and Asia can enter China without applying for a Chinese visa if they hold valid international travel documents and possess a third-country visa along with an interline ticket with a fixed date and seat to a third country (or region) within 144 hours upon arrival. This policy allows them to enter China through Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, or Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport, stay in Guangdong Province for up to 144 hours, and depart from any of the 32 designated ports in Guangdong Province with passenger transport facilities.

Foreign passengers should apply at the 24/144-hour waiting area in arrivals border inspection in China Immigration Inspection by providing a completed Temporary Immigration Card for Foreigners, valid international travel documents, third-country (region) visas, interline tickets booked within 144 hours upon arrival, and pre-printed hotel vouchers.

The policy applies to 54 countries:

25 European member countries of Schengen Visa Scheme: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway.

15 other European countries: Russia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Monaco, Belarus.

6 American countries: the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile.

2 Oceania countries: Australia, New Zealand.

6 Asian countries: South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar.

The 144-hour visa-free transit policy applies to 32 designated passenger transport ports in Guangdong Province:

5 airports: Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, Meizhou Meixian Airport, Zhanjiang Airport, Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport

4 railway ports: Guangzhou Tianhe Railway Port, Dongguan Railway Port, Foshan Railway Port, Zhaoqing Railway Port
