China Southern Airlines’ “Internet+” Strategy Announced; China’s Largest Airline to Promote Intelligent E-Services

China Southern Airlines, the largest airline in the People’s Republic of China is pleased to announce its new internet marketing and sales strategy which is built upon the “Internet+” platform here in China.

Announced at a recent news conference, the China Southern E-travel Strategy is a tactical move and key driver adopted by China Southern to fully embrace digitization as the airline is continues its transformation into one of the world’s leading air carriers.

China Southern E-travel provides passengers and partners full-process e-services based on a mobile official platform exclusively developed and operated by China Southern.

Project leaders from China Southern’s E-Commerce Department demonstrated the unique functions and services available on China Southern E-travel, such as fast refunds, travel tips, special service request and the issuance of electronic invoices.

China Southern E-travel is also offered in a mobile app format by combining mobile Internet and full-process services and integrating “up- and down-stream” resources in the international air travel industry.

Passengers are provided with an exceptional “door-to-door” service experience throughout their trip as China Southern E-travel provides full-process services that cover all contact points where the airline may reach out to its business and leisure passengers.

In addition to the core dynamic data on all airline flights, the new China Southern E-travel flight information module also incorporates full-process elements such as purchasing prepaid baggage allowance; online check-in and seat selection and preordering in-flight meals before leaving for the airport.

When arriving at their designated airport, passengers may use the portable app for   boarding information, notification of gate changes and any last minute flight changes or cancellations.

Upon arrival, passengers can use the China Southern E-travel app module for instant airport information, including where to claim their checked baggage as well as areas for customer comments and suggestions.
