Airport Introduction:

Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 2 is located in Shunyi District -- northeast of Beijing and is 25.35 km far from central Beijing.

It has a 4E-grade Airfield Area with two east-west runways at dimensions of 3800×60 m and 3200×50 m respectively, a new terminal with an area of 336,000 sqm, a parking lot with an area of 170,000 sqm, 3800m-long runways and parallel taxiways at the same length. It is equipped with CAT II Instrument Landing System, advanced and comprehensive ground security and service guarantee facilities, which assure the landing and take-off of such large-size planes as Boeing 747 and Airbus A 380.

1. Bus Guide

Beijing Capital International Airport offers 20 inter-city bus routes and 5 intra-province bus routes. Passengers can take the buses at the Gate 9-11 on the 1st floor.

【Routes】 The routes for 10 inter-city bus routes are: Fangzhuang, Xidan, Beijing Railway Station, Gongzhufen, Zhongguancun, Olimpic Village, Beijing West Railway Station, Shangdi, Tongzhou/Yizhuang and Beijing South Railway Station. The routes for 5 intra-province routes are: Tianjin, Qinhuangdao, Tanggu, Langfang and Baoding.

【Fare】 Inter-city bus (single trip): ¥16/person; intra-province bus (single trip): Tianjin ¥80/person, Tanggu¥80/person, Qinhuangdao ¥130/person, Langfang¥40/person and Baoding ¥85/person.

【Departure Time】

Departure intervals for inter-city bus: 20 minutes for two-way Xidan route, 15 minutes for two-way Beijing Railway Station route and two-way Gongzhufen route respectively, 30 minutes at most for other routes, which will depart at any time when the bus is full. The bus tickets are sold at the airport and all the stops in the city.

Passengers taking bus to Beijing Capital International Airport please note the boarding time. Passengers of china flights are suggested to take the bus 6 hours before the boarding time while passengers of international flights are suggested to take the bus 7 hours before the boarding time. 2. Taxi Service Guide

Please take a taxi outside the Gate 3-7 of the Arrival Hall on the 1st floor of the terminal.

Fare for taxi to downtown: approx EUR 8.93-10.04

3. Self-drive Traffic Guide

The Airport Southern Line Expressway connects with Jingcheng Expressway, Beijing Airport Expressway, 2nd Airport Expressway and Beijing 6th Ring Road (east), which assures the efficient and convenient traffic to the downtown area of Beijing.

It will take approximately 40 minutes to the central area.

Rules for personal duty-free goods:

The passengers flying to Hong Kong and Macao can enter China with the following duty-free goods:

Tobacco items: 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250-gram cut tobacco;

Alcoholic drinks: one bottle of liquor (not exceeding 0.75 litre).

The passengers flying to Hong Kong and Macao on that very day or many times during a short period can enter China with the following duty-free goods:

Tobacco items: 40 cigarettes or 5 cigars or 40-gram cut tobacco;

Alcoholic drinks: no duty-free liquor is allowed.

Other passengers can enter China with the following duty-free goods:

Tobacco items: 400 cigarettes or 100 cigars or 500-gram cut tobacco

Alcoholic drinks: two bottles of liquor (not exceeding 1.5 litres)

Introduction on Functions of Terminal Floors

Terminal 2 is a comprehensive service terminal that connects with traffic center. The building structure consists of 3 floors above ground and 2 floors under ground. Each floor's function is as follows:

3rd Floor: location for offices of china and international airlines. There are also catering and shopping areas on the floor.

2nd Floor: location for china and international departure. China passengers go through the security check on this floor. International passengers go through the procedures concerning Customs, Inspection & Quarantine, Entry & Exit Frontier Check and Security Check. There are first-class and business-class lounges and catering service area on the floor.

1st Floor: location for China and international arrival. There are Baggage Claim Hall for china and international passengers, International Arrival Customs, Domestic-Domestic and Domestic-International Transfer Areas, APM Platform, China Remote Stand Departure Waiting Area and Airport VIP Lounge on the floor, which connect the Traffic Center through bridges.

1st Underground Floor: Ramp. There are Baggage Conveyance Areas for China Arrival and International Arrival, China Departure Baggage Handling Area and Staff Cafeteria.

Please receive passengers on the 1st floor of T2. The International Arrival exit is on the right side while the China Arrival exit is on the left side. In addition, the 1st floor is equipped with such service facilities as dressing room, ATMs, hotel information desk and so on, which provide passengers with more convenient and personalized ground service.

Airport Lounges

Terminal 2 consists of Sky Pearl Lounge, First-class Lounge and VIP Lounge. Inside the lounges, there are functional zones such as VIP Room, Dining Zone, Audio-Visual Zone, Internet Zone, Sleep Zone, Rest Zone, Business Zone and Bars Zone, which provide comprehensive and considerate services for passengers of the first class and business class as well as Sky Pearl VIP Card holders and SkyTeam Alliance Gold Card holders.

「Sky Pearl Lounge」– is located on the 2nd Floor. It is the 2nd lounge on the right side of the walkway after going through the security check.

「First-class Lounge」– is located on 2nd floor. It is the 1st lounge on the left side of the walkway after going through security check.

「VIP Lounge」– is located on 2nd floor. It is the 3rd lounge on the left side of the walkway after going through security check.

Working Hours: 05:10 till the closure of night flights.

Introduction on Check-in Counters

International Check-in:

Islands A-E are for international passengers to check in. Passengers of international, H.K., Macau and Taiwan flights can enter through Gate 4 or 6 to proceed Customs Inspection, and then go to the nearby Island C for check-in. The check-in counters will be open 2-3 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight (2 hours for a flight with less than 200 seats and 3 hours for a flight with 200 and more seats). The deadline for check-in for international and regional flights is 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Domestic Check-in:

Counters F-H. China passengers enter from Gate 12. The counters will be open 2-3 hours before the scheduled departure time. The check-in service for china flights will be closed 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
