What is the “Registered baggage”?

The “Registered baggage” is the baggage handed over to the carrier by the passenger,for care and transportation before the issuance of a baggage ticket.

What is the “Unregistered baggage”?

“The hand baggage” is baggage issued with a baggage ticket and looked after by the passenger with the approval of the carrier.

What are the restrictions on free baggage allowance?

Domestic flights :
Passengers(adults or children)are entitled to the free baggage allowance as follows: 40 kg for first class, 30 kg for business class and 20 kg for premium economy and economy class. For infant, the baggage allowance is 10 kg.

Is the baggage allowance different for various flight courses ?

Yes, generally each passenger holding adult ticket or child ticket is entitled to a free baggage allowance: 40 KG for first class, 30 KG for business class, 20 KG for economy class. The infant paying for 10% of adult airfare is entitled to a free baggage allowance for 10 KG.

The flight courses of China to the United States and Canada apply the piece-based concept. Passengers with economy class tickets are entitled to a baggage allowance for two pieces of baggage, each of which is less than 23KG (50 pounds). In addition, the total length of three sides is less than 158CM (62 inches).

The flight course of China to Europe applies the piece-based concept. The passenger with economy class ticket is entitled to a baggage allowance for one piece of baggage, the one with premium economy class ticket is entitled to a baggage allowance for two pieces of baggage, and the one with business class is entitled to a baggage allowance for three pieces of baggage, each of which is less than 23KG (50 pounds). In addition, the total length of three sides is less than 158CM (62 inches).

Is the same baggage allowance system applied for both domestic flight courses and international flight courses?

Yes, generally it is the same except the flight courses (applying piece-based concept) to the United States, Canada and Europe.

What is the baggage allowance for flight courses to the United States and Canada? Is it the same as that of other countries?

Passengers with economy class ticket are entitled to a baggage allowance for two pieces of baggage, each of which is less than 23KG. The passenger with business class tickets are entitled to a baggage allowance for two pieces of baggage, each of which is less than 32KG. In addition, the total length of three sides of each baggage is less than 158CM (62 inches).

The single piece of luggage weighing over 45 KG will be rejected.

The piece-based concept is also applied by Europe (one piece of baggage for economy class is free of charge),

And other flight courses apply the weight-based concept.

What are the preferential policies on registered baggage for members of CSN Sky Pearl Club?

If taking the flight adopting weight-based concept, the gold card member is entitled to additional baggage allowance of 20 KG and the silver card member is entitled to additional baggage allowance of 10 KG.

The gold card member or silver card member of CSN Sky Pearl Club taking the flight to Europe is provided with baggage allowance of an additional piece of baggage despite of cabin class.

Why is the overweight baggage charged?

Is a baggage allowance provided to children?

Yes. The baggage allowance for children is the same as that of the adult.

Is the baggage allowance provided for infants?

Yes. An infant with an infant ticket is entitled to a baggage allowance of 10KG.

Is the baggage allowance provided to stretcher passengers?

Yes, the baggage allowance for stretcher passengers is 120KG. The conditions and processes of buying a ticket for a stretcher passenger are special. Therefore, the baggage allowance is special.

Is the restriction on baggage the same in different airlines?

No. You can refer to the regulations of the airlines for details. 

Is the restriction on baggage the same in airlines sharing the code?

There is no uniform requirement. For each particular case, be subject to provisions for different airlines.

I booked a “first class” ticket. However, the ticket has become business class for some reason. Does the baggage allowance change under such a situation?

If you book a first class ticket and the cabin is changed involuntarily, the baggage allowance will remain as that for first class ticket.

Can I take lithium batterys in the registered baggage? If yes, how many can I take?

No.
