Rules for Paid In-flight Meals
1. If you have booked a paid in-flight meal, the standard meal planned for your flight will be upgraded to the paid option. The standard meal will not be served.
2. When to book: No later than 24 hours before the flight's scheduled departure time.
3. Applicable flights: Some domestic and international/regional flights departing from the Chinese mainland and operated by China Southern.
4. Applicable classes: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class.
5. Each passenger can only book one paid meal per flight. If your international/regional flight offers multiple meal services, only the meals can be upgraded to a paid option. There is a limited number of paid meals available on each flight. If the booking page shows that they are sold out, no further bookings can be accepted for that flight.
6. Change policy:
(1) To switch between the paid meal options after booking, please make changes no later than 24 hours before the flight's scheduled departure time.
(2) If the flight plan is changed or your ticket is modified, the pre-ordered meal may not be available as scheduled. The standard meal will be served instead, and eligible booking orders can be refunded.
7. Refund policy:
(1) You may cancel a paid in-flight meal order free of charge no later than 24 hours before the flight's scheduled departure time, and the payment will be automatically refunded to the original account. Cancellations made within 24 hours before the flight's scheduled departure time due to voluntary ticket changes or other reasons are non-refundable.
(2) If you are unable to enjoy the paid in-flight meal due to involuntary changes/ticket cancellations/airline changes, you may apply for a full refund via the official app of China Southern or the mobile official website within 30 days after the flight. Late submissions will not be accepted.
8. Invoice issuance: Paid in-flight meal invoices are not included in the itinerary receipt. If you need an invoice, please request one by calling the customer service hotline (95539) the day after your flight.
9. Only one of the following services can be booked for each flight: The paid in-flight meal, the special meal, and Green Flight. If you have already booked one of them, please cancel the original order before selecting another.
Rules for Business Class Meals & Special Meals
1. The booking for business class meals and special meals is free of charge, and each passenger can book one meal per flight.
2. Booking deadline: 24 hours before the flight's scheduled departure time (departing from the Chinese mainland), or 48 hours before the scheduled departure time (departing from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, or other countries and regions).
3. Applicable flights of business class meals: Some domestic flights operated by China Southern. Meal booking for business class is not available in some cities. 4. Applicable flights of special meals: Some domestic or international/regional flights operated by China Southern. Booking for special meals is not available in some cities. 5. Change policy: Changes or cancellations to the booking of business class meals or special meals can be made no later than 24 hours before the flight's scheduled departure time (departing from the Chinese mainland), or no later than 48 hours before the scheduled departure time (departing from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, or other countries and regions).
6. If the flight plan is changed or your ticket is modified/refunded, the pre-ordered meal may not be available as scheduled. The actual meal services provided shall prevail. If the modified ticket meets booking requirements, you may place a new order; if not, you will be served the actually arranged meal on your flight.
7. In case of special circumstances, such as flight delays, aircraft changes, or public health emergencies, your pre-ordered business class meals or special meals may be adjusted. The actual meal services provided shall prevail.
8. For actually bookable flights and meals, the inquiry results in the system shall prevail. Please note that meal images are for reference only, and actual offerings may vary.
9. Aviation food production facilities may use ingredients that contain allergens, such as wheat, buckwheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, and seafood. It is impossible to eliminate the cross-use of allergens during food preparation. Even if a meal appears to be free of visible allergens, it may still contain trace amounts. Therefore, it cannot be fully guaranteed that the in-flight meals provided are allergen-free.
Rules for Green Flight Service
1. Green Flight: If you do not require in-flight meals, you may cancel them in advance (while retaining beverage service) and receive Green Flight rewards.
2. Applicable flights: Some domestic and some international/regional flights departing from the Chinese mainland and operated by China Southern. The service is currently unavailable for flights departing from other countries/regions. For further details on applicable flights, please refer to the booking page.
3. Passengers who have canceled the in-flight meal six hours before the scheduled departure time will receive Green Flight rewards. The mileage or coupon will be rewarded within five working days after the flight's arrival. Rewarded travel insurance will be activated upon successful meal cancellation, with the enrollment confirmation sent via SMS. Such reward insurance cannot be canceled individually. Non-member passengers cannot access the Green Flight reward unless they become members before the flight takes off.
4. Please refer to the prompt on the booking page or the service SMS received to confirm the application status.
5. Cancellation, change, and resumption of in-flight meals are not available within six hours before the flight's scheduled departure time.
6. After canceling the in-flight meals, you will only be provided with drinks on the flight. Please be seated according to your designated seat number to enjoy our customized service.
7. If your ticket is modified or your flight is canceled, the Green Flight service you booked will be canceled, and the in-flight meal service shall be subject to the actual meal arrangement. If a new flight is scheduled and there is enough time left before the booking deadline of the service, you may place a new order.
8. For international flights that provide multiple meal services along the routes, the first in-flight meal will be canceled by default, and the corresponding mileage will be rewarded after booking the Green Flight service. Subsequent meal services will still be provided as arranged.
