- I. Foreign nationals can enter China without a visa under any one of the following circumstances:
- (I) Bilateral agreement.
- Based on bilateral agreements signed or reached between China and foreign countries, foreign citizens of some countries who meet certain requirements may visit China without a visa. - (II) Direct transit.

- (III) Holders of valid residence permits for foreigners issued by the Public Security Bureau.
- Foreign citizens entering China for study, employment, visiting relatives, family reunions, or as resident foreign journalists must apply for a residence permit from local public security authorities after their entry. Permit holders may stay in China and enter or exit China multiple times without the need of a visa during their validity period of the permit.
- (IV) Holders of valid Foreign Permanent Resident ID Cards of the People's Republic of China.
- (V) Holders of valid APEC Business Travel Cards (Virtual APEC Business Travel Card holders will enjoy visa-free entry from May 1, 2023).
- (VI) Group tour to the Zhujiang River Delta, Hainan Island, and Guilin.
- 1. Foreigners holding ordinary passports of the countries having diplomatic relations with China visiting Hong Kong or Macao and participating in group tours from Hong Kong or Macao to the Zhujiang River (Pearl River) Delta Area (the administrative regions under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, and Huizhou) for a stay of no more than 6 days organized by travel services legally registered in Hong Kong or Macao do not need to apply for a visa.

- 3. Tour groups (with 2 or more people) from the following countries may be exempted from visa requirements if organized and received by travel services accredited by tourism authorities of Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, upon entering and exiting through Guilin Airport port of entry as a group, and are allowed to stay within the administrative region of Guilin City for no more than 6 days: Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, and the Philippines.
- (VII) Citizens of certain countries holding ordinary passports may enter China visa-free for business, tourism, family visits, and transit purposes for no more than 15 days. For details, please consult the Chinese embassies or consulates in the relevant countries.
- (VIII) Visa-free entry or transit conditions may be subject to dynamic adjustments. It is advisable to consult the Chinese embassy or consulate in the relevant country or the National Immigration Administration of China before travel.
