1.Must I transact identity authentication at ticket offices designated by China Southern Airlines? How to transact identity authentication?

To ensure your account security, you must transact identity authentication at ticket offices designated by China Southern Airlines before setting up the list of redemption assignees.

If you have already transacted identity authentication, you can directly set up the list of redemption assignees by accessing the China Southern Airlines SkyPearl website or calling 95539.

Detailed requirements for identity authentication are as follows:

1. To transact identity authentication for yourself, please provide the original and copies of your valid ID certificate and your SkyPearl card or SkyPearl card number, and please also provide your mobile number in China (China Mobile, China Unicom or China Telecom) or email as security contact means for receiving the password. If you entrust someone to transact the identity authentication for you, provide the original and copies of the entrusted agent should also be provided along with the certificates required above.  

2. Please refer to “Mileage Redemption” – “Assignee Management” – “Identity Authentication” on the China Southern Airlines SkyPearl website for details rules of identity authentication.


2.I once added assignees, and now I want to add new assignees, so will the addition take effect immediately or after 30 days?

Every addition of new assignees will take effect after 30 days, so you can only transfer award tickets or upgrades to them after 30 days.

3.I added my assignees for the first time after Jun 1, 2013, can I transfer award tickets or upgrades to them immediately after adding them to the list?

In case you add your assignees for the first time after Jun 1, 2013, if there are 3 or more boarding records since Jan 1, 2009, the transfer may take effect immediately; if there are less than 3 boarding records, the transfer will take effect 30 days after successful application. (said 3 boarding records do not include those in which the accumulated proportion of flights of Sichuan Airlines is zero)

4.What is an award ticket redemption assignee?
The award ticket redemption assignee refers to the persons appointed by the Sky Pearl members who can enjoy award tickets or award upgrades redeemed by the members' miles.
5.Can award tickets be transferred to other persons not in the assignee list after the assignees have been appointed?
After the assignees have been appointed, you can only transfer the award tickets to the appointed assignees.
6.Can I transfer award tickets to others if I haven not appointed any assignee?
If you have not appointed any assignee, you can only redeem award tickets for yourself; if you need to transfer them to others, you should first establish your award ticket assignee list.
7.Is it required to appoint assignees before redemption of award tickets for others via the website or calling 95539?
You need to designate assignees for millage redemption for others whether via the China Southern Airlines SkyPearl website or 95539.
8.How to establish the award ticket assignee list?

You can log into the Personal Account of the Sky Pearl website to establish the assignee list. The specific steps are stated as follows:

(1) Enter your Sky Pearl No. and password to log into the Sky Pearl Club website (skypearl.csair.com).

(2) Select successively "Miles Management" – "Redeem Miles" - "Manage Assignee" in the "Sky Pearl" module.

(3) Add assignee information according to the page guidance.

9.Each member can add 8 assignees at most, may I not add the full quota for the first time?
Yes. You can add no more than 8 assignees on your own need.
10.Can I modify the established award ticket assignee list? If so, will the corresponding miles be deducted?

You may modify the list of redemption assignees (including deleting, adding and modifying assignees) according to your own needs; addition/modification of assignees will take valid after 30 days, while deletion of assignees will take effect immediately.

No mileage is deducted when adding/deleting an individual name from the list.

11.I do not add the assignees before December 24th, and add the assignees after December 24th for the first time. Can I transfer immediately the award tickets to the first added assignees?
The first added assignees after December 24th (the day included) come into effect immediately. You can transfer award tickets to them upon the completion of the first addition.
12.I added assignees before December 24th 2010, and newly add assignees after December 24th 2010. Do the newly added assignees come into effect after 30 days or immediately?
Since December 24th 2010, the newly added assignees come into effect after 30 days (the day included), so you only can transfer your award tickets to them after 30 days.
13.When do the assignees come into effect added before December 24th?
The assignees added before December 24th (no matter whether they are added for the first time or not) come into effect on the December 24th, and you can redeem award tickets after December 24th.
14.Can children and infants be appointed as award ticket assignees? If so, is their redemption standard consistent with that of adults?
Children and infants can be appointed as award ticket assignees, and the redemption standard and other rules are consistent with those of adults. However, if the award tickets redeemed for children involve unaccompanied minor assistance, it needs to be applied and dealt with in accordance with the flow regulated by the airlines, and the service fee is borne by the passenger himself/herself.
