The parking lots at T2 have five payment methods: a parking booth, code scanning, self-service payment machines, central toll offices and a WeChat official account.

Central toll offices: the central toll offices are mainly located in the P8 parking garage, on the first, second and fourth floor respectively.

Self-service payment machines: self-service payment machines are installed mainly at the entrance and exit of each parking lot. The car owner can enter their license plate number in the self-service payment machine to check and pay their parking fee.

Code scanning: by scanning the payment QR code posted in the parking lot and entering the license plate number, the passenger can complete the payment.

WeChat official account: visitors can follow the "Baiyun Airport" WeChat official account to complete payment through the links.

Parking booth: cash, WeChat or Alipay payments can be completed at the booth while leaving the parking lot.

4.What are the standard parking fees of the parking lots at T2?

T2 shares the same parking fees with T1: Parking is free for the first 15 minutes in both the open parking lots and the parking garages. Free parking is offered only twice within 24 hours. Specifically:

Note: An hourly rate will be charged for less than 1 hour of parking, and large motor vehicles will be charged for the number of parking spaces actually occupied.

For example, RMB(10+10+5) = RMB25 will be charged for 3 hours of parking, and RMB(10×2+5×8) = RMB60 will be charged for a day of parking. RMB(60+60) = RMB120 will be charged for two days of parking.

5.Where are the parking lots at T2 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport?

Baiyun Airport has added P6, P7 and P8 parking lots for T2.

The three parking lots are located on the south side of T2. P6 and P7 are outdoor parking lots and P8 is a parking garage. The three parking lots share three entrances and two exits. Two entrances are located on the west side of the outbound viaduct's upper section, and the other is connected to the bridge approach of the outbound viaduct (which leads directly to the fourth floor of the P8 parking lot). The exits are located on the east side of the outbound viaduct's lower section.

6.What transports are available between T1 and T2 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport?

Baiyun Airport offers two free transportation shuttle options for travelers.

1.Free shuttle bus:

TI and T2 shuttle bus (Airport Express)
6:00 AM to 8:00 AM
3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
6:00 PM to 11:00 PM
11:00 PM to 6:00 AM the next day

Remark: rolling shifts are applied during peak hours and shuttles will depart after they are full.
Route: T2 (Gate 42) - T1 (Gate 10) - T2 (Gate 42)


2.Metro: passengers can take the free shuttle between Airport South Station (T1) and Airport North Station (T2) during operating hours.

Tip: the distance between T1 and T2 is about 2 kilometers, which takes about 5 minutes without traffic.

7.How can I get to or leave Terminal 2 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport?

Terminal 2 (T2) is designed with a "single direction" traffic flow and has the largest ground traffic center (GTC) in South China. Whether departing or arriving, all inbound and outbound traffic is completed in the terminal building and the ground traffic center.

Departing passengers:

Passengers traveling by private cars, taxis, online car-hailing and buses (long-distance, urban lines) can get to the departure hall for check-in by going directly to the T2 departure area via the outbound viaduct.

* All long-distance or urban buses arriving at the airport will first stop at T2 for passenger drop off, and then continue on to T1. Passengers can choose to get off at T2 or T1 as needed.


Arriving passengers:

You can take a taxi outside the lobby on the first floor of T2, or can seamlessly enter the GTC and choose to take the metro, bus, taxi, private car or other transport to leave the airport.


Metro

The "Airport North Station" of the metro is located on the basement level one of GTC hall's west side and there are exits at both the traffic center and the terminal building.


Bus

The GTC has set up bus stops on the east and west sides on the first floor. The west side is for urban buses and long-distance buses, and the east side is for tour buses.


Taxi

Taxi pick-up points for domestic and international arriving passengers have been set up at Gates 50 and 53 of the T2 arrival area respectively.


Private car

T2 does not have a minibus waiting channel in the arrival area. Therefore, vehicles such as private cars that arrive at T2 for pickup need to enter P6, P7 and P8 parking lots to wait for passengers. Arriving passengers can pass through the GTC to go to major parking lots.

8.Where are the oversized baggage check-in counters at T2?

There are two oversized baggage check-in counters in T2 (international and domestic):

International: at the end of check-in area M of the departure hall on the third floor;

Domestic: at the end of check-in area F of the departure hall on the third floor.

9.Can passengers apply for a temporary ID to board a flight?

If your identification card is lost or expired, you can go to the police office window in the airport terminal to verify your identity and apply for the "Civil Aviation Administration of China Temporary ID Card" (two recent one-inch certificate photos are required. The airport also provides photo booths for your convenience). The police office at T2 is located behind check-in area J of the departure hall on the third floor.

10.Is free wireless Internet available at T2?

T2 covers 1,300 wireless hotspots and 1G of output bandwidth, and service is free as long as you authenticate every five hours. Passengers can connect to the airport Wi-Fi via mobile phone number or WeChat. In addition, the terminal of the passenger service system in Terminal 2 supports scanning your passport, identification card, or boarding pass to obtain Wi-Fi login passwords.

11.How can we check-in baggage by ourselves at T2?

The specific procedures for checking in baggage by yourselves are as follows:

Confirm your flight information by scanning the certificate on the self check-in kiosk → select baggage check-in and print the baggage tag → place the baggage tag on the baggage handle evenly → walk to the baggage check-in kiosk – scan the certificate to confirm the flight information → turn the baggage handle outwards and place the baggage on the conveyor belt flat → weigh baggage (weight limit 2~40KG, dimensions 40*60*100cm) → print baggage claim tag when baggage is checked in successfully.

12.Where are the self-service baggage check-in kiosks at T2?

Self-service baggage check-in kiosks are located in the check-in areas on the third floor of the terminal: Area H for domestic (check-in procedure is based on the China Southern Airlines procedure), and Area L for international (check-in procedure is based on the airport's procedure)

13.How do passengers of China Southern Airlines transfer at T2?

1.International-international

Passengers deplane ---> customs ---> go through transit procedures at the international-international transit counter on the second floor---> customs ---> security inspection --->up to the third floor via the second floor's dedicated escalator ---> international departures lounge -> departure gate -> boarding.

2.International-domestic

[Travelers with a through-ticket for China Southern Airlines to another China Southern Airlines] passengers deplane --> customs inspection ---> immigration border inspection ---> waiting area (with onward boarding pass) ---> customs inspection ---->international-domestic security inspection--->(domestic departures and arrivals area) departure gate ---> boarding.

[Other passengers] passengers deplane--->customs inspection--->immigration border inspection---> down to the first floor via the dedicated elevator to pick up baggage------>customs inspection--->turn right before arrivals ---> go through transfer or recheck-in procedures at the international-domestic transfer counter on the first floor---> up to the second floor via the first floor dedicated escalator---->cross-shaped corridor security check ---> (domestic departures and arrivals area -- ) departure gate---> boarding.

3.Domestic-international

4.Domestic-domestic

Passengers deplane--->go through transfer procedures at the transit counter on the second floor (except for passengers with an onward boarding pass) --->(domestic departure and arrival area) departure gate on the same floor ---> boarding.

14.What are the procedures for passengers to enter and leave the port at T2?

Domestic departures: Passengers can take an elevator to the domestic departures and arrivals area on the second floor to wait for boarding after checking in and passing the domestic security check on the third floor of the main building.

Domestic arrivals: Upon arrival, passengers go to the domestic departures and arrivals area on the second floor and then pick up their baggage at the domestic baggage pickup hall on the first floor.

International departures: Passengers check-in at the third floor of the main building and go through the international security inspection and joint inspection unit to enter the international departure floor on the third floor to wait for boarding.

International arrivals: Upon arrival, passengers enter the second floor international arrival area and pick up luggage at the international arrival luggage claim hall on the first floor.

15.Where are the China Southern Airlines VIP Lounges at T2?

The China Southern Airlines Sky Pearl domestic lounge is located past the security for domestic first- and business class passengers on the third floor in T2 of Baiyun Airport. The Sky Pearl international lounge is located on the fourth floor mezzanine past the international joint inspection duty free store.

16.Where is the China Southern Airlines' check-in area at T2?

Manual Check-in Counter

(1) Premium Check-in Zone

Domestic Premium Check-in Counters are located in Area C of Terminal 2, and open to First Class, Business Class, and Premium Economy Class passengers, and Sky Pearl Gold Card/ Silver Card members.

Check-in Supervisor Counters (C01, C02, D01, D02).

International Premium Check-in Counters are located in Area Q of Terminal 2, and open to First Class and Business Class passengers, and Sky Pearl Gold Card/ Silver Card members.

Check-in Supervisor Counters (Q01, Q02).

(2) Domestic Check-in Zone

Domestic Economy Class Check-in Counters are located in Area D of Terminal 2, and offer services including Economy Class check-in, transit, special passenger assistance, fee payment, flight addition, ticket sales, overweight baggage handling, etc. Specifically, Counter D20 is for special passenger services, Counter D13 offers priority service for soldiers/ firefighters and rescue personnel, and Counter D26 is for transit services.

Domestic Self-service Zone is located in Area H of Terminal 2, where passengers can go through check-in procedures and check baggage by themselves.

Self-service check-in

1. Domestic check-in area:
Self check-in kiosks are available at Areas D, E, F, G, H and J of Terminal 2.

2. International check-in area:
Self check-in kiosks are available at Areas P, N, and L of Terminal 2.

Gentle Reminder:

  • a. Passengers for domestic flights with carry-on baggage larger than 20×40×55cm and weighing more than 5kg will be denied entry at security checkpoints and not be allowed to board (rules may differ from airline to airline).
  • b. The overweight baggage fees counters are subject to change according to on-site adjustments.
17.What service facilities are available in China Southern Airlines' VIP Lounges at T2?

The Sky Pearl VIP Lounge (domestic/international) serves first-class and business-class passengers, as well as Gold/Silver Card passengers based on their flight class.

The VIP Lounge for first-class and business-class domestic passengers has a variety of functional areas including an Internet area, sleeping area, dining area, rest area, buffet area, reading area, shower rooms, baby care room and a Chinese tea art display area as well as a baggage storage service for passengers.

There are major functional areas such as passenger dining areas, rest areas, business areas and luggage storage areas in the domestic lounges for passengers with Gold/Silver Cards.

The VIP Lounge for first-class and business-class international passengers has a variety of functional areas including a dining area, buffet area, bar, children's play area, and baby care room, as well as a business center with Internet access, shower rooms, V-rooms and a sleeping area. Baggage storage service for passengers is also provided.

The Gold/Silver Card member section is mainly for international passengers who are also Sky Pearl Club Gold/Silver Card members, and foreign airline VIP passengers for whom China Southern Airlines provides services. Passengers are provided with functional areas such as dining areas, IT display areas, reading areas and shower rooms.

18.Which area of the airport will I be in when I arrive at T2?

The domestic arrivals hall is located on the southwest floor of the main building of T2 (the exit is near Gates 50/51), and the international arrivals hall is located on the southeast side of the terminal's main building (the exit is near Gates 52/53).

19.What is the layout of T2?

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport T2 is divided into four floors.

The first floor is the passenger baggage claim area, with 21 (31-51) baggage carousels for arrivals, of which 11 (31-41) are for domestic passengers and 10 (42-51) are for international passengers.

The second floor is for mixed-flow domestic departures and arrivals, international arrivals and transfers. West 5, West 6, West corridor and North airside concourse are the domestic departure and arrival mixed-flow areas. East 5, East 6 and East corridor are for international arrivals and the East 6 end is a rest area for international departures. The middle cross-shaped aisle is for arrivals and transfers.

Outside the isolation area on the third floor are the domestic and international check-in halls. The East 5, East 6 and East corridors inside the isolation area are for international departures, and the North concourse is for international arrivals.

The North concourse on the fourth floor is for international departures. The East 6 concourse is the domestic departures and arrivals area, with first-class and business-class lounges and airport hourly hotels.

20.Where are the locker rooms at T2?

T2 has 9 locker rooms in total. There are five rooms at the arrivals area on the first floor of the main building, including two at the domestic arrivals baggage claim hall, two at the international arrivals baggage claim hall and one at the transfer passage on the first floor. Additionally, there is one room on the second floor in the North concourse, one on the second floor in the West corridor, one on the second floor in the West 6 concourse and one on the third floor in the East corridor.

21.Where are the express mailing stations at T2?

The departures hall on the third floor is equipped with theme post offices, EMS, and SF Express points, and provides letter (parcel) collection and delivery, express delivery and other services.

Location: theme post office - on the third floor at the end of check-in area N in the departures hall; EMS - on the third floor at the domestic security check area in the departures hall; SF Express - on the third floor at the international security check area in the departures hall.

22.Where is the departure tax refund office at T2?

Departure tax refund office is located on the third floor at the central shopping area behind the international departures joint inspection hall.

23.Where are the currency exchange counters at T2?

United Money exchange: one on the third floor inside the international security inspection hall of the departures hall, and one on the third floor at the central shopping area behind the international departure joint inspection hall;

Fanghui currency exchange: one on the third floor inside the international security hall of the departure halls; one on the third floor behind the international check-in area; and one on the first floor outside the international arrivals exit.

Guangdong Development Bank: on the third floor behind the atrium "sky stage" in the departures hall, and at the end of check-in area P;

24.Does Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport T2 provide medical services?

T2 has 6 first-aid sites for everyday medical and emergency services.

25.Where are the lost and found counters at T2?

At the intersection of the central shopping area and check-in area H at the departure hall on the third floor. (Opening hours: 00:00-24:00)

26.Where are the baggage inquiry counters at T2?

Airport international baggage inquiry: in the international arrivals baggage claim hall, next to carousel 50;

Arrivals hall: east side at the arrivals hall on the first floor (opening hours: 05:30-23:30)
