Check-in time: Check-in opens 3 hours and closes 1 hour prior to the flight departure, which is subject to adjustment due to actual flight conditions.
Transportation
Bus
There are three bus operators – Havaist, IETT, and Istanbul Seyahat providing shuttle service between the airport and the city center. On the transportation floor below the Arrival Hall, you can find bus stops heading for various destinations in the city.
Taxi
There is a taxi stand outside the Arrival Hall. It costs about 150TL-200TL to travel to the downtown by taxi.
Metro
Metro is currently unavailable. According to the city plan for Istanbul, the metro is to be opened in 2021.
Driving
There are car rental companies in the terminal, where you can pick up and return rented cars.
Facilities
Istanbul Airport of Turkey is located in the northwest of the European side of Istanbul. It is newly constructed and has one terminal building only. The Departure Hall is on Level 2, and the Arrival Hall on Level 1. Transportation tools for passengers to travel to the city center are available on Level B1, and the metro facilities on Level B2 are not opened for the moment. In the Departure Hall, Areas A\ B\ C are for domestic check-in and Areas D-S are for international check-in.
