“Since China Southern Airlines introduced our Guangzhou - Vancouver service, we have been expanding our presence with more flights on this important route,” said Wan’geng Tan, President and CEO, China Southern Airlines, adding, “our 787 Dreamliner provides an even better experience for our business travelers and indicates our confidence in growing Vancouver aviation marketplace.”

Since its first service to Vancouver in 2011, China Southern has continued to grow its operations, increasing initial service from three flights per week to daily service.

"The introduction of the Dreamliner to China Southern’s daily service between Vancouver and Guangzhou route is a testament to the growing business traffic between British Columbia, Canada and China and validates our strategy to build Vancouver as a global Asia Pacific gateway,” said Craig Richmond, President & CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority.

He added that, “China Southern’s service connects British Columbia’s people, products and businesses with important trade and travel opportunities in China’s most populous province, Guangdong.”

A proud member of SkyTeam, China Southern’s new Dreamliner offers a luxurious First Class cabin experience with 27 inches wide seating, built-in 17-inch TV screen and the ability to convert into a fully-flat bed just shy of two meters long.

This exclusive First Class cabin complements the 24 Business Class and 200 Economy Class seats configured in China Southern’s revolutionary Dreamliner.

“PICTURE YOUR “SELFIE”

To celebrate the introduction of its Dreamliner service between China and Canada, China Southern Airlines is kicking off a “Picture Your Selfie” Sweepstakes, which will award one lucky winner with two, round-trip First Class tickets from Vancouver to Guangzhou.

On five days between February 19 and 27, China Southern Airlines pop-up check-in counters will be located at five secret locations throughout Vancouver and Richmond. Clues about the locations will be released on local radio and TV stations.

To enter the sweepstakes, contestants must take a selfie photo at one of these check-in counter locations and submit the photo to @yvrairport via Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #CZselfie. Photos may also be emailed to CZselfie@yvr.ca.

Using a random draw, finalists will be selected at the close of each contest day, and the Grand Prize winner will be chosen from that pool of finalists.
