Checked Baggage

Each piece of checked baggage may not exceed 50 kg in weight and 40*60*100 cm in dimension. For our national routes, every piece of check-in baggage cannot exceed 50 kg and must have a volume under 40x60x100 cm; for international or regional routes, every piece of check-in baggage cannot exceed 32 kg, and the total sum of the three edges of each piece should not exceed 158 cm (62 in). Baggages not within the specified range above cannot be transported unless approved by China Southern Airlines otherwise.

Note: For American routes (except Canada), every piece of baggage over 50kg cannot be accepted, and the total sum of the three edges of each piece should not exceed 158 cm (62 in.).

For the domestic legs of international transportation, restrictions to the baggage's packaging, volume and weight will be subject to applicable international route standard.

The above specifications of baggage (including volume and weight) are maximum limits acceptable to airline companies, but not the free baggage allowance. Passengers may need to pay for portions in excess of the free baggage allowance.
