Guiyang

Introduction

In September 1992, Guiyang Airport was open and Guiyang became a Class-A port city.
In May, 1997, Guiyang Longdongbao Airport, a Class-4D modern airport 12km and 15 minutes' driving to the downtown, was put into use for air transportation. It covers an area of more than 6,000mu, 3200m-long and 60m-wide runway with advanced navigation systems and facilities. The terminal building covers an area of 34,000 square meters with advanced waiting halls for international and domestic flights meeting the demands of 5 million person-times for the annual passenger throughput and peak inbound and outbound of 2000 person-times. Currently, 32 routes are provided with 467 flights per week covering the major and medium cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Haikou, Chengdu, Kunming and HKSAR.

To the urban area:
Airport bus: 10 yuan/person (one shift from the urban area to the airport per half an hour; the airport-urban bus will wait at the departure hall once the flight arrives)

Taxi: starting price is 8 yuan, limited for 4 people (metered as stipulated. The expressway toll, usu. 6yuan, should be borne by the passenger, and it is free to go through the airport road)

China Southern Airlines: two self-service check-in machines (only for flights of China Southern Airlines); two Travelsky CUSS (for all flights); a room for mother and infant; two VIP rooms in the separation zone (one for the airport and one for China Southern Airlines); one drinking room, one smoking room, one coffee room, a KFC, a Ajisen Ramen, a Xingyangfang Restaurant; a medical center; three free Internet access zones.
