I. All passengers’ portable electronic devices for personal usage with lithium or lithium-ion batteries shall be taken as hand baggage to the plane, such as watches, calculators, cameras, mobile phones, laptop computers, camcorders, etc.. Necessary protection measures shall be taken respectively for every spare battery of portable electronic device, for example, the adhesive tape can be used to protect the exposed electrodes, each battery is put into individual plastic bag or protective case, and they shall be kept in the hand baggage. The following requirements on the lithium content and rated power shall be satisfied by all batteries or spare batteries in all devices:
1, The lithium content of one lithium or lithium alloy battery shall be not more than 2 g;
2, The rated watt-hour of lithium-ion battery shall be not more than 100Wh;
3, It is necessary to report the 100-160wh lithium-ion battery with to staffs when check-in, and the batteries which satisfy aviation safety transportation regulations can be kept in the luggage or hand baggage; one passenger can only carry two spare 100-160wh batteries at most;
4. It is not allowed to carry batteries with over 160wh.
II. In order to carry the lithium-ion battery-powered wheelchair or similar travel tools, passengers shall report to staffs when check-in, an only the tools satisfying the aviation safety transportation regulations can be transported by the plane.
III. In order to carry the portable electronic medical device with the lithium metal or lithium-ion batteries for medical purposes, passengers shall report to staffs when check-in, and only the devices satisfying the aviation safety transportation regulations can be taken in the plane. If passengers fail to make the report, or make the false or deceptive report on the lithium batteries kept in passengers’ hand baggage, and then passengers shall take all relevant consequences, such as the denied boarding, miss flight etc.
