South Africa New Regulation on Passengers Under the Age of 18 Years

The important announcement has been released from IATA concerning new requirements for children and young adults under 18 traveling to/from South Africa, as follows. From October 1st 2014, the South African government require that persons under 18 travelling to or from South African, whether traveling with both parents, with a single parent, with other adults or traveling unaccompanied, will have to present an unabridged original birth certificate plus additional documents granting approval for travel by the absent parent or parents, in addition to a valid passport.s
